Consultation Process

Step 1: On Site Visit

We meet to discuss your goals for your space and plan our best solution. We take photos and measure the dimensions and elevations of the area with specialized equipment to appropriately plan for water drainage and to create an exceptional custom design.

Step 2: Design & Proposal

We create a presentation and show you a design concept with a 2D plan or 3D walk through of the space. The approach will depend on the specifics of the project. In this virtual presentation we show you photos of previous work with similar elements, materials, and supporting information to clearly support our proposal.

Step 3: Quote

We provide you with various options and a shopping list of items that you can choose from. Often our clients like to spread the work out over a few years. We can help you prioritize.

Step 4: Building

It important to us that you have a positive experience and work flow process. Once you become our client, we take excellent care of you. Our Communications Manager keeps you informed at all stages and we stand by our work with an excellent warranty, not to mention we've been around for 45 years for good reason.

Step 5: Maintenance

We offer maintenance of your property for as long or as often as you like. Our maintenance crew keeps your landscaping looking as good or better than the day it went in. We look after gardens, lighting, ponds and irrigation of our landscapes as needed.

Our Roots

A family run business that spans three generations.

First Generation

Eddy & Phine Meyer immigrated to Canada on a boat from the Netherlands and started Meyer’s Garden Centre on the corner of Lansdowne Street and Dobbin Road where the Shoppers is today!

Second Generation

Their eldest son Mikey worked in the garden centre and in the landscaping business and later pursued landscaping on his own in 1979!

Third Generation

Mike’s daughter Summer joined the company in 2016. Today Mike and Summer design and manage projects together.
